Task 1 - Spider-Diagram

To start the assignment we began by creating spider diagrams of ideas that fit our chosen theme's. I chose the Roman walled city theme, and as such, based my spider diagram and the subsequent ideas on the theme. I worked with two others, and together produced the spider diagram seen below.

Due to Roman architecture being one of the most well known and recognisable historical architectures, we didn't have to think too heavily on what we could put on the Spider Diagram. WE focused on thinking of well known Roman buildings and came up with historic landmarks such as The Pantheon and the Colosseum. Other buildings we came up with include Villas, Amphitheatres and Roman Bath's.  We also thought of what makes up these buildings and came up with concrete, stone, and a well known roman architectural feature, pillars. We thought of the colouring of Roman buildings and came to the conclusion that most of them were beige to the point the colour and become synonymous with roman architecture. We also put this down onto the spider diagram. 

We used movies such as Gladiator and Ben Hur and games such as Ryse: Son of Rome and Rome Total War to come up with some of our ideas.
